Girls summer dress, could be done by hand, without machines. To start with a chain of 48 and a hook Q. I think that was the pattern on her dress as shells decorated.

Go to the HGTV website ... www.hgtv.com and click on the TV shows then click on the tab, AZ. Click on the Carol Duvall show, then click on the episode of 1620. This consignment 10/12/06 and is under the dress fabric and crochet. This is exactly the model that you describe.
